The City of Newport has announced a series of public engagement sessions to discuss the potential conversion of Monmouth and York Streets into two-way streets. These sessions aim to present the findings of a recent feasibility study and gather community feedback.

Two identical one-hour sessions are scheduled for Tuesday, May 27th, at The Prestant located at 720 York Street. The meetings will begin at 5 p.m. and 6 p.m.

Additionally, an all-day open house will take place on Thursday, May 29th, in the Multipurpose Room of the City Building at 998 Monmouth Street. This event will run from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., providing ample opportunity for residents to engage with city officials about the proposed changes.
